If you are in financial crisis and live in England or Wales, you can call Help through Hardship for free, for a confidential talk with a trained Citizens Advice advisor.

They can help you to:

  • address your crises,

  • maximise your income,

  • navigate the benefits system, and

  • identify any additional grants you could be entitled to.

If needed, they’ll issue you with a food bank voucher.

If you need a translator, please tell the advisor. A translator will be provided via Language Line.

If you can’t hear or speak on the phone, you can use Relay UK. Find out how to use Relay UK.

Fair Money Advice Referral

If you’re struggling with benefits, debt, or budgeting, please email Help@Hackneyfoodbank.org with details of your circumstances and you will be referred to Fair Money Advice, who will issue you with a food bank voucher and make an appointment to speak with one of their specialist advisers.
